Internet based Parcel Tracking System

Very recently Magneto had the opportunity to bring their embedded software, networking, database and internet skills together in a project to create an Internet based Parcel Tracking System. This involved the use of off-the-shelf bluetooth barcode readers, bluetooth GPS receivers, GPRS enabled PDAs and a web server. This enables parcels to be managed via a web managers console and then tracked over the web by both the parcel delivery company and the parcel recipient. Magneto wrote the interface software for the barcode readers and GPS modules, the graphical PDA user interface, the network interface to send data to and from the web server and the server software for the managers console and public facing web site.
